a mighty spray.

It's eight o' clock.
We're outside "watering".
The afternoon heat wave has finally passed... but it's still hot.

Only a little tepid hose water will do the trick.

Now, that's one satisfied customer!
Who needs a bath anyway?!
For dinner, I whip up some of our favorite-- recipe tomorrow!
And-- attention students!

Pop quiz!

Brownie points awarded to someone who can tell me what this is:

A few clues?
They are alive!
Jeff and I are visiting a country in which they live. (and I can't wait to see some!)
There is a children's toy inspired by them.
What are they? (Answer tomorrow...)

HI Emily,
I can't tell you how happy I am that you are regularly posting again!

I think I know what those things are...glow worms? my husband and I just watched a "planet earth" episode about caves and they had them there. Kind of grossed me out actually!

Hi. I love the spray photos.

Are they glow worms? I've never seen them on strings like that.

You are coming to Sydney!! How fun. Would you like to meet for a coffee or something?
I'll research the akubra thing.

Australia is a country? I kid. I kid. Anyhoo, if those are glowworms like they said then wow. How cool!!!!!

And I know what you mean about heat waves. I love it in the eve when the sun goes down and there's a bit of a reprieve.
