freezing rain dance.

On Monday, we got some freezing rain.
By afternoon, we had cabin fever.
We ventured into our familiar surroundings turned ice-land wonderful.

Waived to the hundred thousand numbered flock of cold winter grackle birds hunting for the evenings meal.

Slipped and slided by the patchwork of frozen yellow winter lawns.

Admired the icy ornaments hanging from our front tree.

(And even nibbled on one)

Home again, home again, jiggity jig.

I would love to see a freezing rain storm again. I saw one once when driving to TX for Christmas when I was 17. I love how the drops hang off everything. My cousing Tonya has a cool picture on her blog of a street sign. SO neat.

I love to see the freezing rain from the inside. I dislike it very much while on the outside as it is happening!

Emily!!! I'm finally back into bloggy land, and when Elena told me today that, "Emily is back...she's been back...you should go see!" I was jUST going to do a post about all of my wrinkles. I can't believe how many have appeared in less than 2 years. Your white comforter story in the airport was hilarious, especially the part of wishing nobody you knew would walk by and see you with you Santa bag heaved up over your shoulder. I especially enjoyed your mom and dad's comments.

I can't wait for more photos. I'm sorry your arm and leg is gone, as you can't photograph your fam. anymore....but your new camera is so much fun. I love anything to do with water. I've been thinking a while of doing a "photographic study" of it. It's fun.

Anyway, it's good to have you back. Our Emily who finds joy in every day things is the best.
