wednesday washday.

Boys are so dirty.
You would be amazed about what I find in the bathwater.
Gravel practically.
I am always stunned by this and other boy things, like:
perpetual knee holes in jeans.
hidden treasures in pants and coat pockets.
curiosity.
rough and tumble.
courage to do things I would be afraid to try.
and other things... new discoveries daily.
I love my boys.
They keep me on my toes.
They keep me young.

I can so relate since I have two boys as well. I recently learned a trick for the holes in the knees of pants-- a friend told me she puts patches on the inside of her sons pants. I'm gonna try it.

I'm always amazed at what gets left behind in the tub. Especially since my kiddo doesn't *really* go out to play, except at school recess. AMAZED.

Lot's of sand, I even found a coffee bean once, up my middle one's nose. Silly boys. Can't live without them though!

Fun! I've got girls...I will admit that I don't find sand or gravel in the bath tub but I do find hundreds of tiny treasures in pockets and other hidden places.

Aaaaaa-men! we have the same thing---in everything!
it drives me NUTS about the holes in the knees (and its always the same one) my younger one isn't as rough on his clothes as his older brother (....yet) but we have a strict no jeans policy in the house---just shorts (b/c then all his school pants would have holes in them inside of a month----you know what i mean!)
ah, boys! gotta love 'em!

Oh I hear ya!! Just yesterday I had to buy new shoestrings...SHOESTRINGS!!!....because Connor's were just plain ridiculous. I don't think I ever put a hole in the knees of my pants when I was a kid?? Boys are just a little rough on things...but their hearts are so sweet and soft :) LOVE 'EM!

You'd be surprised the things that are left behind when my little girl exits the tub! She's pretty rough and tumble though. Anything her brother does, she thinks she can do too!

I can identify with Brian and Staci above as well, I swear I replace both of my kids shoestrings every couple of months.

I guess that's one good thing about our longish winters--big difference in the tub AND the laundry!

You'd be surprised by how many of these things girls do as well. You do have me on the holey knees though. Among all the insanity I just remind myself how glad I am they are healthy enough to cause such havoc:)

I hear ya! My boys are always getting holes in their pants and keeping me busy, but I love it! Boys being Boys!

Emily...have you ever looked closely at any old photos of your dad....he was just a walking little rag picker! Poor guy, he had holes everywhere and his shoes were a mess...he says it was always that way for him...never any new clothes. Dad is sometimes hard on his clothes now even though I make sure he has new ones and does not look like a rag-man!
